21 thousand 204 crore Taka allocated for the science and technology sector
In the proposed budget for the financial year 2021-22, it has been proposed to allocate Tk 21,204 crore in the science and technology sector. The proposed allocation is Tk 3,256 crore more than the proposed budget for the outgoing fiscal year 2020-21.
In the current financial year, the proposed allocation for the science and technology sector alone was Tk 17,948 crore. Later, 11 thousand 447 crore taka was allocated in the revised budget.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal presented the budget allocation proposal in the National Assembly chaired by Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, the speaker of the National Assembly on May 3 at 3 pm.
The size of this year's budget has been proposed to be 6 lakh 3 thousand 61 crore. Of this, there is a deficit of Tk 2 lakh 14 thousand 81 crore.
